For all the bread lovers out there, I have a super easy and delicious recipe for you to try it out. This time it's chickpea bread. Normally I don't have a lot of time for baking so this is a perfect option to bake a healthy nutritious bread on your own, even when you are tight with time.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 75 minutes
Ingredients:
300g chickpea flour
40g flaxseed meal
50g sunflower and pumpkin seeds
2 tbs chia seeds
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbs apple cider vinegar
440 ml water
Pinch of salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 190°C fan setting.
Take a big bowl and weight in flaxseed meal. Add chickpea flour, salt, baking powder and chia seeds. Mix all together well.
Take a small cup and mix baking soda and apple cider vinegar. Mix it together and slowly stir it to the mixture in the big bowl. Add water and mix it all together. At the end add a mixture of sunflower and pumpkin seeds and mix it all together again.
Take a baking pan, line it with a baking paper and pour the mixture into the pan. Top it with extra sunflower seeds (optional) and put it in the oven.
Bake it for 1 hour on 190°C until golden brown. After 1 hour turn the oven off and leave the bread in the oven for another 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes in hot oven, take the bread out and put it out of the baking pan on a rack and let it cool down. Then store it in an air tight container and enjoy it.
